Donna Rudiger
Donna started writing poetry at age 13 while she was growing up in Pennsylvania. Her love of the Cascade Mountains inspired her to migrate to the Pacific Northwest in 1974 to study wildlife photography. She is an award-winning poet, essayist, and storyteller, and cheerfully shares her work at women’s retreats as well as numerous open-mike venues in Western Washington. Her poem titled “Skagit Beauty” was first published in Soundings from the Salish Sea in 2018 (available on Amazon.com) And then featured in the Edmonds News Poetry Corner in March 2020. Her poem titled “New Voices for Quiet Desperation” was recently published in the Edmonds News Poetry Corner in March 2021.
